Falcon’s Beyond Global, a fully integrated development enterprise for IP-driven parks, resorts, media and merchandise, has chosen to use ride systems by Oceaneering Entertainment Systems (OES), an award-winning designer and manufacturer, in all of its new ventures, such as its dark rides, Suspended Theatre, CircuMotion Theater and more.

OES will provide all ride systems for properties currently in development and for future Falcon’s Beyond developed and operated theme parks across the globe. Together, they are currently working on the launch of the $100M Katmandu Park in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, expected to open next year.

Collaboration leads to cutting-edge experiences

Both companies are based in Florida and the teams have worked together for nearly 20 years, with previous projects including new ride technologies such as Falcon’s patented Suspended Theater.

“We are beyond excited to bring our old friends at OES on board as our ride systems provider worldwide,” says Cecil Magpuri, Chief Executive Officer of Falcon’s Beyond Global (top, right).

“They share our core values and are well known for the highest standards of quality, safety, and smooth engineering. With full collaboration between our teams, we’re already creating cutting-edge experiences. The Falcon’s Beyond parks—with innovative OES-built rides—will be reliably mind-blowing.”

“We’ve had a fantastic creative relationship with the Falcon’s team going back to 2002, and together we’ve developed extraordinary attractions at leading parks,” says Dave Mauck, Vice President and General manager at Oceaneering International (top, left).

“We’re thrilled by the Falcon’s Beyond vision for ‘Big-Experience, Small-Footprint’ parks in leading resort destinations around the globe, and we’re truly honoured to help our good friends amaze and delight audiences with great storytelling—and engineering.”

An award-winning partnership

Oceaneering International was formed in 1964 by a group of divers who began designing and operating underwater equipment, including robotic machines. It is now a leading provider of engineering solutions across several different industries. OES was formed after the company branched out into themed entertainment with an undersea robotic experience.

It then expanded into rides and has won several Thea Awards, including for Curse of DarKastle at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, its first collaboration with Falcon’s Creative Group.

Last month, Falcon’s Creative Group, the entertainment design firm, announced the launch of Falcon’s Beyond Global, which will bring the proprietary Katmandu and partner IPs to global markets, through theme parks, resorts, feature films and more. The joint venture with Meliá Hotels International also brings access to prime real estate and a global operating presence in key tourist destinations in 40 countries.
