Peppa Pig Theme Park will be a Certified Autism Center (CAC) when it opens next year.

The Peppa Pig Theme Park in Florida will offer increased accessibility, and will open to the public as a Certified Autism Center (CAC) on February 24, 2022.

Located adjacent to Legoland Florida Resort, the world’s first Peppa Pig Theme Park will boast accessible ride vehicles and attractions. It aims to be the ultimate theme park for preschoolers.

Peppa Pig’s Balloon Ride will feature accessible ride vehicles. The baskets were designed to allow children who use wheelchairs to seamlessly access the ride without getting out of their wheelchairs.

The hot air balloon ride was developed by Merlin Entertainments’ creative and project delivery team, Merlin Magic Making, alongside ride manufacturers at Technical Park.

The Muddy Puddles Splash Pad is also accessible. The ground will be graded for wheelchair use, and water play elements are being created at several heights. It includes a tunnel of water hoops that can be navigated in a wheelchair.

Additionally, children in wheelchairs will be able to enjoy Peppa’s Pedal Bike Tour, and the game counters at the Fun Fair have been constructed at accessible heights.

Created with preschoolers in mind, Peppa Pig Theme Park will be home to six rides, six themed playscapes, and a water play area (Muddy Puddles Splash Pad).

Rides include Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster, designed to be the first coaster experience for kids, and Grandad Dog’s Pirate Boat Ride, a family-friendly boat ride.

“As one of the world leaders in location-based entertainment (LBE), we are delighted to be creating this first-ever theme park dedicated to the wonderful world of Peppa Pig,” Mark Fisher, chief development officer at Merlin Group, said in February.

Merlin Entertainments has an exclusive multi-territory licensing agreement with Hasbro to develop and operate Peppa Pig attractions, including the world’s first standalone Peppa Pig Resort in China.
