Triotech wins Golden Crown Award for Hive Break

OCT Walkthrough Hive Break Golden Crown Award

The firm has already received multiple accolades for the innovative project

Triotech, an award-winning creator of media-based attractions, has won a major industry award in China for its work on an interactive walkthrough experience.

The manufacturer’s latest installation for OCT Fabland Valley Resort earned it the Golden Crown Award in the “Outstanding Dark Rides Theater Supplier (International)” category.

The multi-award-winning Hive Break attraction also earned first place in the Immersive Attraction Category of the blooloop Innovation Awards, alongside the IAAPA Brass Ring Award for Best New Product at last year’s IAAPA Expo.

Since it was founded in 1999, Triotech has delivered 415 installations in over 65 countries on all continents. Over the last decade alone, over 135 million visitors have experienced a Triotech product such as interactive theatres, interactive dark rides, 4D theatres, VR attractions, flying theatres, walkthroughs, and dark coasters.

A new phase of collaboration

The multistage immersive and interactive Walkthrough experience by Triotech puts visitors at the centre of the action. Visitors are guided via three distinctive experiences that were selected to fit the plot. Each zone, which can be customised, is connected through themed hallways, making it simple to adjust the attraction to the available space as well as set up, IP, and storytelling requirements.

“The Hive Break walkthrough attraction demonstrates the evolution of OCT and Triotech’s collaboration”, says the firm’s sales general manager for China, Han Jie. “Over the years we have supplied OCT parks with many immersive and interactive theatres. This double walkthrough is our first custom-designed media-based attraction created exclusively for OCT Xianyang, and its successful launch starts a new phase of collaboration for co-creating new types of rides and attractions.”

Triotech has already revealed that the walkthrough attraction will soon make its South Korean debut with theme park owner and operator LOTTE WORLD this spring. The new experience will submerge visitors in the world of KRAFTON’s popular IP PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS.
