Location:
Politécnico de Leiria | ESTM - Escola Superior Turismo e Tecnologia do Mar, Peniche, Portugal
The Portuguese Association for the Study and Conservation of Elasmobranchs (APECE) and the Polytechnic of Leiria (IPLeiria) are delighted to host the 22nd Annual European Elasmobranch Association (EEA) Meeting from 12-14 October, to be held at the “Escola Superior de Turismo e Tecnologia do Mar” Peniche, Portugal. Given the threats faced by cartilaginous fishes all over the World, and in accordance with the EEA’s ethos to bridge scientific evidence and conservation policies, the theme for this year’s meeting is: “Policy and conservation for a brighter blue future”. We hope to meet you at an inspiring conference where the very best in elasmobranch research will be presented and discussed. This year, the conference will have a kick off session focused on the meeting’s theme, gathering key players for policy and conservation. We are also proud to announce that Dr. Gavin Naylor will be Saturday’s keynote speaker at the conference.
