Ong Chih Ching is the executive chairman and executive director of KOP Limited. In this role, she is responsible for the company’s vision, development and strategic planning as well as the growth of the group’s business. She has been in charge of several notable real estate projects, such as The Ritz Carlton Residences in Singapore, Hamilton Scotts, the multi-award winning Montigo Resorts hotels in Nongsa, Batam, and Seminyak, Bali, as well as the impending Wintastar in Shanghai. This integrated sport-entertainment tourism complex, located in Lingang City in Shanghai, will feature the largest indoor ski & snow park in the world.
She was recognised as one of the 50 Power Business Women in Asia by Forbes Asia magazine in 2014 and 2015, and she also won the Outstanding Entrepreneur award at the 2014 Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards presented by Enterprise Asia. She has also been invited to speak at a number of important forums and seminars because she is regarded as a pioneer and thought leader in the fields of real estate, women in leadership, and innovation. This includes The Economist – Longevity Summit in September 2018, the Innovation Summit in 2015 and the Real Estate Investment World 2015 conference.
In addition, Ong Chih Ching was featured in the broadcast of CNBC’s Managing Asia: Asia Builders in October 2014. She also spoke about gender diversity and leadership at the Leadership for Innovation and Growth: Women on Board forum held by the Channel News Asia Luminary Awards in March 2015.
She is a qualified Barrister at Law and a member of The Honorable Society of Gray’s Inn, London, UK, and before joining KOP, she was a founding partner of Singapore law firm Koh, Ong & Partners. In 2019, Ong Chih Ching was appointed as a Council Member of the Singapore-Zhejiang Economic and Trade Council (SZETC).
