Steve Sheldon and Charity Hill Co-Founders Epic Entertainment Group

Steve Sheldon and Charity Hill are the co-founders of Epic Entertainment Group, a full-service production company that creates live, immersive, branded location-based entertainment. The company aims to provide unforgettable live experiences and is recognised for its innovative themed events and event management expertise, emphasising storytelling, interactive environments, and audience engagement. Their leadership has fuelled growth, serving public and private clients with events that attract large audiences and create lasting impressions.

Epic Entertainment Group was established to deliver creative, innovative experiences in the live event sector. With expertise in entertainment production and event management, the founders identified a rising demand for immersive events that captivate audiences more profoundly. They aimed to build a company that marries creativity with operational excellence.

Epic Entertainment Group is best known for its large-scale themed events, each crafted with great detail and engagement. Some of their most prominent projects include The Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor, a Halloween-themed event held on the historic Queen Mary ship in Long Beach, California, and numerous seasonal and themed events, such as holiday festivals and family-friendly experiences.

Steve Sheldon and Charity Hill’s creative vision centres on providing “epic” experiences that capture the imagination and create lasting memories. Their events are often interactive, encouraging guests to participate actively and explore their surroundings rather than simply observing. This approach has helped Epic Entertainment Group stand out in the crowded live event space, especially as demand for experiential and Instagram-worthy events has grown.

Speaking to blooloop in 2023, the pair said authenticity is key to a successful event. Sheldon said this is where story comes into play: “We tend to start with story and dive into that. We love to create those more intimate experiences or micro experiences. Diving into more detail, providing opportunities for people to further engage beyond that surface level if they choose to, is where we have found our sweet spot.”
