New attraction at Efteling will be a rotating flying experience

Efteling in the Netherlands is creating a new themed area and attraction around its Raveleijn show, which will also be completely renewed.

The Raveleijn show will be updated with a new storyline, theming and special effects, with the main characters to remain in the performance.

Additionally, the area surrounding Raveleijn is getting a new attraction, as well as a new F&B location and souvenir shop.

The new attraction will be built just outside the city walls of Raveleijn. Efteling describes it as a rotating flying experience that lets visitors “soar as if on the wings of ravens”.

“The many flowing movements and tilting motions create a strong sense of intensity and excitement, making it a truly thrilling experience,” Efteling said.

The current Raveleijn show can be seen for the last time this season, with the new themed area and attraction expected to open at the theme park by the end of 2026.

Raveleijn show to be updated

“In line with our vision of full immersion, we are looking at the entire area surrounding the park show in this development. The story of Raveleijn lends itself perfectly to this,” said Koen Sanders, director of product, market and image at Efteling.

“By placing the new attraction outside the open-air arena, we are enlarging the themed area. The park show will undergo a complete transformation, meaning that it will be performed more often than ever before: several times a day and almost year-round.”

He said, “We are also choosing more environmentally-friendly fire effects, which combined with the improvements to the show, will create an even more spectacular experience for guests.”

Efteling has also announced a new family attraction to open in summer 2026.

This will be located next to the Baron 1898 attraction, a Bolliger & Mabillard dive coaster, and will have the same theming as it.
