Over the last decade, Compagnie des Alpes has streamlined its leisure park business to concentrate on several key sites and attraction brands. And over the past few years, Fassier has helped implement a huge investment in properties including Parc Astérix, Futuroscope and the Walibi parks in France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Traditionally strongest in summer, the parks help offset the seasonal income derived from Compagnie des Alpes’ (CdA) ski resort business. Yet with seasonal events such as Halloween, they are now generating additional spikes in revenue outside the main park season.

From fresh rides and attractions at Parc Asterix and Walibi Holland to new rides and themed areas at Walibi Rhône-Alpes and the ongoing €100 million redevelopment of Walibi Belgium, the investments across the company’s park portfolio look more assured than ever. In addition, CdA recently acquired Familypark in Austria and entered into a management agreement at Paris’ historic Jardin d’Acclimatation.
