Jacqueline Tan is charged with overseeing the expansion of Singapore’s Sentosa island resort via a masterplan that includes the redevelopment of the neighbouring island Pulau Brani.
The Sentosa-Brani plan reimagines the area as an ‘island playground’ set within a biodiverse tropical landscape. It will comprise five zones, known as Vibrant Cluster, Island Heart, Waterfront, Ridgeline and Beachfront. The development will be rolled out in phases over the next 20 to 30 years.
Located off Singapore’s southern waterfront, Sentosa developed as a tourist destination from the 1980s onwards and now welcomes around 19 million visits a year. As part of the masterplan, a ‘Sentosa Sensoryscape’ walkway will link Resorts World Sentosa and Universal Studios Singapore on the north of the island with beaches to the south.
Since the publication of this list in 2019, Tan moved on to serve as CEO of the Singapore Cruise Centre in 2023
