Pristine untamed nature, branching waterways and rich cultural traditions characterise the Spreewald.
Situated within the biosphere reserve, Spreewelten is located only an hour away from Berlin. Enhancing the destination with the addition of a hotel is part of our future strategic development plan for the former adventure pool and sauna village. Our aim is to make Spreewelten more attractive to a range of different audiences over the long run through a special blend of fun and relaxation.
The newly constructed hotel facility is based architecturally on a three-sided courtyard common to the Spreewald region. Natural materials, soothing colours and forms give the rooms of the fifty apartments a rustic yet modern look.
We have purposely incorporated the surrounding environment into our overall design concept. The classical elements, sounds and garden designs of the Spreewald region inform our design approach and are updated stylistically. Alcoves as a design element are repeated in both the glass facades and the rooms, providing a frame within which to enjoy a relaxing visit to Spreewelten. The project will be completed over the coming years.
