15 x 3m projection domes

One of our highest-profile projects in recent years was the immersive educational experience we created for SeaLife park visitors in 2019.

Following the opening of their open-water sanctuary for beluga whales in Iceland, SeaLife was looking for ways to raise public awareness for this much-needed facility. They enlisted Fulldome.pro to install 15 projection domes into SeaLife Centres in 6 countries around the world. CGI content projected onto 3m domes in selected centres in the UK, US, Australia Thailand, Germany and Iceland, gave visitors the feeling of swimming alongside Little Grey and Little White, the first two beluga whales relocated through the sanctuary. An information pod detailed the whales’ life-changing journey from a water park in Shanghai to the open-water sanctuary in Iceland.

Our installation team travelled to each location to set-up the domes and train staff to operate and maintain them. This memorable interactive experience showcased SeaLife’s dedication to animal welfare, while helping raise thousands of dollars in donations. We’re proud to have been involved in such a worthy cause!
