Glenn André Viste Bøe leads the parks division at Lund Gruppen, which includes Skånes Djurpark in southern Sweden and Kongeparken in western Norway. The group also operates Lunds Tivoli, which travels throughout Norway with its rides and attractions. Collectively, the company’s brands attract around two million visitors every year. Viste Bøe, a former games operator, told blooloop he “grew up in Kongeparken”. He added: “People described the park as like an old aunt. It’s always there, has great waffles and tea to drink, but doesn’t change. So it doesn’t matter if you come today, tomorrow or in five years’ time.”
Viste Bøe started his career at Kongeparken in operations and project management before moving to Skånes Djurpark as director of guest experience. He was later named COO, then CEO. In this role, he led the park through the pandemic, and went on to become managing director of parks across Lund Gruppen.
“What is most impressive is Glenn is only 30 years old – his confidence and leadership are well beyond his years and Glenn is a shining example of a young professional,” said one person who nominated him.
Skånes Djurpark recently collaborated with Aardman to create an overnight Shaun the Sheep visitor experience called Shaun’s Wagons. “Living in Shaun’s Wagons is much more than accommodation and by far the most exciting new addition to the park in several years. Staying here is a complete experience for the whole family, where guests can experience the rural environment for 36 hours and play with Shaun, his friends, and greet all the other animals in the park,” said Viste Bøe.
