Ryan ‘Woody’ Atwood Creative Director Frameless

Ryan ‘Woody’ Atwood is an award-winning creative director with more than 20 years’ experience developing and directing extraordinary creative concepts. He has a background in graphic design, photography, art direction, render, and animation direction. Atwood’s unique skills and visual eye have resulted in incredible creative storylines across the globe.

Atwood serves as creative director for Frameless, the new immersive art experience in London. Located close to Marble Arch, Frameless is a space for interpretations of iconic artworks by Cézanne, Klimt, Kandinsky, Monet, Canaletto and Rembrandt. Rather than just looking at the painting, the venue immerses guests in every brush stroke and every splash of colour. “We’re multi-tech. Each of our galleries is using a different form of technology,” Richard Relton, chief executive at Frameless, told blooloop.

At Frameless, he is responsible for creating and implementing memorable experiences for global audiences. Working closely with industry leaders in technology and art, Atwood has guided the creative direction of Frameless’ first venue. The attraction is home to 42 masterpieces across four unique galleries. Atwood now leads on all things content and creative as Frameless looks to expand its digital art experiences worldwide.

Before joining Frameless, Atwood worked on the opening and closing ceremonies for Expo 2020 Dubai. These featured the world’s largest 360-degree projection screen, an immersive audio system, and multi-camera 4K augmented reality – a first of its kind. Atwood has also worked on the 2002 Winter Olympics, the London 2012 Summer Olympics, the 2014 Winter Olympics, the 2015 European Games, the 2018 Asian Games, and the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
