Hong Kong Disneyland has welcomed its 100 millionth visitor not long after opening the world’s first Frozen-themed land.
The park’s 100 millionth visitor was part of the Chen family, who were presented with a certificate and gift hamper by Hong Kong Disneyland’s managing director Michael Moriarty.
After the surprise ceremony, then Chen family visited the new World of Frozen. Later, they were treated to a celebratory character dinner at the Enchanted Garden Restaurant.

The world’s first Frozen land officially opened to the public on 20 November with two new attractions – Frozen Ever After and Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs.
The immersive zone also includes dining and retail experiences, and a unique interactive show featuring Anna, Elsa and Olaf. The show uses projection mapped content, special effects and sensory elements.
As for retail and F&B, Nordic-inspired cuisine is available at the Golden Crocus Inn, desserts can be found at Northern Delights, and souvenirs and toys are on offer at Tick Tock Toys & Collectibles.
World of Frozen experiences
“The Frozen franchise is one of the most successful in Disney history and it’s a testament to the power of great storytelling, which is the foundation of the Walt Disney Company,” said Disney CEO Bob Iger at the land’s opening ceremony.
“It’s been this way for 100 years, and our commitment to storytelling and creativity will continue to define our next 100.”
Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney parks, products and experiences, said: “World of Frozen transports you to another world, where you can have fun with your loved ones and make some incredible memories together.”
