About KristallTurm
The journey of KristallTurm goes back to 2007, when master carpenter and technical business economist Heinz Tretter designed and built his first high ropes course in his home town of Lenggries in Upper Bavaria. A project that was intended more as an experiment than an international business model. But things turned out differently. It didn’t take long for the first interested parties to show up who not only wanted to climb, but also wanted to have such a facility themselves. Tretter therefore founded the KristallTurm company in 2010. What was once planned as a system made of wooden poles became a modular system with steel poles, wooden platforms and many different climbing elements that can be delivered worldwide. 15 years later, KristallTurm employs over 50 people and can look back on more than 70 completed high ropes course projects in over 30 countries.

Adventures made in Bavaria, Germany
Each high ropes course is created in Lenggries, Upper Bavaria (GER) and at the second site in Achenkirch (AT). When working with a client, the planning and design team starts by conceptualizing a custom solution to suit local conditions and individual needs. The aim is to give every high ropes course its own unmistakable character.

Quality and innovation are at the core of every KristallTurm project. Manufacturing happens at the company’s inhouse production facilities. This also includes the locksmith’s shop, where the basic structure of every high ropes course is produced and prepared for assembly. Meanwhile, all the wooden components are manufactured and pre-assembled in the carpentry shop.
Thanks to the modular design, the high ropes courses can be shipped all over the world. In most cases, KristallTurm´s own craftsmen travel to the respective destination to take care of the professional assembly.
The KristallTurm high ropes course

KristallTurm’s flagship product is its high ropes course – a climbing tower consisting of steel poles connected by various climbing elements. The company has developed a unique free-standing construction that is independent of existing trees and can therefore be set up almost anywhere. The hexagonal nature of the installations ensures that the courses can fit into tight footprints and be arranged with a wide variety of custom elements or even extented during its operational lifespan.
The high ropes course is used like a kind of artificial via ferrata. Through a safety system consisting of two communicating carabiners, the climbers are continously secured to a steel rope. By simply rehanging the carabiners, visitors can choose their own route without a predetermined direction of movement and according to their preferred level of difficulty. This also prevents traffic jams and waiting times and makes the climbing experience even more comfortable.

The heart of every high ropes course are the climbing elements. KristallTurm offers over 200 different variations, which are continuously being developed and adapted to customer requirements. Special add-ons such as tube slides, zip lines, abseiling stations or giant swings guarantee extra thrills besides climbing.
The integration of a platform on one of the levels opens up further possibilities for use and additional income. It can be used as a viewing platform for visitors and climbers or as a location for events and parties, workshops and more.

Meanwhile the company offers also a wide range of sports and play equipment such as adventure playgrounds, boulder and climbing walls, fitness trails, ninja parcours, mobile attractions for events and many more.
