MAPIC is an event focused on the international retail property market from 17-19 November 2020 in Cannes. Established in 1995, MAPIC has always been at the leading edge of the retail revolution, constantly adding new location-based elements while remaining true to its core mission to bring retailers, developers, cities, investors and specialists together to understand, embrace and drive forward amazing lifestyle destinations, attracting attendees from more than 80 countries.

Who will be there?

MAPIC 2020 will have 8,200 participants, including 2,460 retailers and 2,200 developers and cities. MAPIC gathers retail real estate key players and fosters relationships between a vast community of retailers representing the new retail mix, locations and business services. From smaller upcoming brands to established names, MAPIC welcomes 2,460 retailers and restaurant chains every year to showcase their concepts, make connections and do business with retail developers, investors and fellow retailers. At MAPIC, you will find 2,200 property developers and urban planners representing all types of locations and committed to creating the more vibrant lifestyle destinations of tomorrow: shopping centers, outlets, cities, culture and leisure places, travel hubs, hotel groups, medical centers and more. Many cities and local authorities are coming to MAPIC to position their city as an attractive retail destination. They are looking to build the perfect retail mix. They are privileged interlocutors for retailers interested in opening shops or outlets in the region. Every year, over 1, 300 investors and financial institutions from 50 countries take part in MAPIC: private equities, insurance companies, pension funds, SWF, REITs, banks, asset and fund managers and more. Master franchise and multi-unit franchise partners are major actors in the retail property to support brands in their international expansion strategy. MAPIC welcomes every year international and regional leaders of the market from 16 different countries among Europe, Asia, Middle-East and the Americas and representing 213 brands of the new retail mix.

The conference at MAPIC 2020 will feature sessions from Richard Betts, Lorraine Dieulot, Michele Molon and more. The conference schedule will look at sustainability, e-commerce, new operating models, AI and facial recognition, customer experience, community hubs and more. MAPIC is creating for the first time a retail stage where new brands and DNVBs will showcase their concept while well-established retail names will present their latest & hottest projects. Round table discussions & expert insight sessions will complete this dedicated programme.
