The attraction tells the epic 30-year story of the Space Shuttle Program and stars Atlantis, one of only three remaining space-flown orbiters, and the last to fly in space. The design brings guests within inches of the historic spacecraft and takes them on a journey to space and back again via emotionally engaging immersion experiences. Guests are greeted by a full-size replica of the External Tank and Solid Rocket Boosters which once carried shuttles into space, and enter the beautiful attraction, designed to evoke the features of the space shuttle and its many legendary launches. Space Shuttle Atlantis features state-of-the-art multimedia presentations and more than 60 interactive exhibits and high-tech simulators that bring to life the complex systems and components behind this incredible feat of engineering. Visitors can also enjoy a replica of the Hubble Space Telescope, a crawl-through International Space Station, and themed retail.
