Mauritshuis, The Hague

This world-famous art museum is home to Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring and View of Delft; Carel Fabritius’s The Goldfinch; and Rembrandt’s The Anatomy Lesson of Dr Nicolaes Tulp, to name a few examples.

Challenge
To source a robust device to support multimedia tours for the museum’s permanent collection tours and, also, for use in enhancing on-site temporary exhibitions, like that of the Brazilian artist, Vik Muniz. There was also a need for groups visiting the permanent collections.

Solution
For the first two requirements, Imagineear’s MPti™ device was the answer. A touch-screen player which supports music, hi res images, video clips and additional layers of information on exhibits that is sturdy enough to go on tour on multiple occasions. For the group tours, when quantities were needed but with excellent functionality, we recommended our cost-effective MediaPacker™ (MP™).

What We Are Proud Of
Our flexible technology that fit the multiple requirements of a site like this. The Mauritshuis has taken MPti™ devices for the permanent collection tours and for the Vik Muniz exhibition and MediaPacker™ players for group tours.
