Nathan Jones is Chief Operating Officer at CAVU Designwerks, a leading creator of media based attractions and rides.
Educated at Cornell University, Jones started out at WhiteWater in 1998 as a project installation manager but has performed a variety of sales and business development roles for organisations since. In the process, he has generated over $1 billion worth of theme and water park attractions. Highlights include the world’s longest waterslide (in China) with WhiteWater, Disneyland Shanghai’s TRON Lightcycle Power Run for Vekoma, and FlyOver America at Brogent Technologies. Now at CAVU he’s helping deliver media-based ride systems that push boundaries.
During his career, Jones has been a committed volunteer with the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) and was recently elected to an international Vice President position. As well as co-chairing the TEA’s SATE conference in 2019, he has spoken at various IAAPA conferences, including this summer’s Virtual Expo for Asia Pacific.
In addition, he has participated in the PlayPlace Safety Committee for McDonald’s Corporation as well as mentoring students as a judge on the Cornell Theme Park Design Competition.
