Aquariums in Tokyo: The Latest Place to Take Your Hot Date

News
Enoshima Aquarium Japan

Aquariums in Japan are the latest place to take your hot date.  A new trend as adults in Tokyo head to late night aquarium openings.

Enoshima Aquarium in Fujisawa, Kanagawa Prefecture, has seen a leap in attendance as a result of opening later and putting on special entertainment like their Night Wonder Aquarium projection mapping show.

Prior to 2014, the aquarium used to attract around 1.3 million visitors per year, but these figures increased to a record high of 1.84 million in the 2015 fiscal year, and has remained at these levels into 2016.

Similar results have been achieved at Aqua Park Shinagawa,  where late night shows and a bar have proved popular with adult audiences who work nearby during the day.
