Ripley Entertainment to Open Aquarium in Pocono Summit

The Pocono Record reports that Ripley Entertainment, Inc. plans to build an aquarium in Tobyhanna Township.

State Senator Mario Scavello is reported to have confirmed the $200 million project will go ahead, as well as a second as yet unnamed attraction. There has been no official confirmation from Ripley Entertainment, Inc..

There are currently three Ripley’s aquariums: Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies in Gatlinburg, TN, Ripley’s Aquarium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada, in Toronto.
