Universal Orlando Resort has announced the reopening of select hotels from June 2. Universal will implement health, safety and hygiene procedures in response to COVID-19.
The phased reopening of hotels includes Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando, Loews Royal Pacific Resort and Loews Sapphire Falls Resort.
It also includes Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort, Universal’s Aventura Hotel and Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Surfside Inn and Suites.
Visitors staying in the above hotels will be able to attend Universal’s theme parks on June 3 and 4, ahead of the public reopening on June 5.

Universal will later announce plans for Loews Portofino Bay Hotel and Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Dockside Inn and Suites.
Health and safety measures at Universal Orlando’s resort hotels are as follows:
- Guests, staff and vendors must wear face masks in public areas
- Staff and vendors will have temperature checks upon arrival
- Guests will be asked to self-screen for symptoms and comply with quarantine orders before arrival
- Guests will also have temperature checks upon arrival, and anyone with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher will require medical clearance to enter the hotel
- There will be hand sanitiser stations in public areas and elevator landings
- There will be enhanced cleaning of guests rooms, meeting rooms and public areas with an EPA-approved cleaner and disinfectant.
- High-touch areas will be frequently cleaned
- There will be limited capacity at F&B outlets
- There will be social distancing signs and reminders
- There will be contactless experiences, including hotel texting services, express checkout and contactless room deliveries.

Universal Orlando Resort has already partially reopened, welcoming guests once again to the CityWalk shopping centre on May 14.
Universal Orlando also confirmed that Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay will reopen to the public on June 5.
