Dubai’s Global Village has announced a new ‘Big Balloon’ ride, providing 360-degree views across the park when it opens for the new season on 25 October .
The helium balloon, which can accommodate up to 20 people, is as high as a six-storey building and 65 feet in diameter, offering spectacular views across Global Village and beyond.
“Every season we make sure our guests are able to experience new and exciting attractions,” said Naveen Jain, director of business development for Global Village.
“A balloon ride experience is on many people’s bucket lists, so we’re thrilled to be able to offer this opportunity to our guests.
“Closer to the season opening, we will be revealing more fun experiences that can be enjoyed by all the family.”

Global Village, a multicultural festival park, features cultural attractions, as well as retail, dining and entertainment. It is home to more than 150 street food outlets, 26 shopping pavilions, and games and attractions at the Carnaval funfair.
“Global Village was launched in 1997, with a small project on Dubai Creek – around 18 kiosks,” Bader Anwahi, CEO at Global Village, told Blooloop.
“Today, we are a 1.6 million-square-metre destination with 3,500 retail outlets, 40,000 shows in a season, more than 300 F&B outlets, and more than 160 rides, skill games and arcades.”
The new ‘Big Balloon’ ride has been designed to exceed Global Village’s high safety standards.
Ain Dubai, the world’s tallest and largest observation wheel, opened last year. The attraction offers views of Dubai’s skyline.
