Aqualand Industries, a leading creator of durable activity products for the worldwide leisure industry, has announced that it has partnered with Chester Zoo, the most visited zoo in the UK.
Visitors this summer can enjoy a dedicated track with Crazi-Bugz and Adventure-Trukz electric vehicles, designed for drivers aged four to 14.
Aqualand Industries has provided a comprehensive range of services, including track design guidance, training support, maintenance, and financing.
‘Real partnership approach’
Two million people visit Chester Zoo each year to see over 37,000 animals from around the world, including elephants, giraffes, orangutans, penguins, Komodo dragons, and Madagascan lemurs.
The charity zoo is located on a 128-acre location near Chester and is home to over 500 different plant and animal species as well as botanical gardens and five national plant collections totaling over 1,000 species.
As a non-profit organisation, the zoo devotes all of its resources to conservation efforts in the UK and across the globe. It works with over 3,000 species worldwide, including 140 international animal conservation breeding initiatives that ensure the survival of species at risk of extinction.
Dominic Strange, commercial director at Chester Zoo, says: “Chester Zoo is one of the UK’s most popular visitor destinations, dedicated to creating a world where nature can survive and thrive. We pride ourselves on finding new ways to engage our visitors to keep them coming back time and time again, and the thrill of independent driving in field conservation-style jeeps, even for our youngest guests, is sure to help inspire every conservationist of the future.
“The project was carefully planned with the support of the Aqualand Industries team, and they deliver service around the vehicles using a real partnership approach.”
Aqualand Industries develops and produces the Crazi-Bugz, Adventure Trukz, and the recently announced all-family activity, the Adventurer. All of its products are made in the UK at the firm’s dedicated R&D and manufacturing facility in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire.
The firm works with leisure attractions to help them generate additional income. It provides leasing and full purchase, or a combination of the two, to give operators the flexibility they need to introduce a selection of products. It also offers maintenance and service.
Carl Byford, general manager of Aqualand Industries, adds: “It was great to work with the professional team at Chester Zoo to deliver a fantastic project that will provide entertainment and great memories for families for years to come. We approach every project with a commitment to being there when our customers need us and ensuring that our vehicles help to drive revenue and enhance the visitor experience.”
Aqualand Industries recently announced that Woolacombe Bay Holiday Park in Devon, UK, is adding its Crazi-bugz attraction to enhance the visitor experience.
