CAVU Designwerks, the media-based attractions specialist, has announced that it will attend the upcoming IAAPA Expo 2024 in Orlando, Florida. The event will take place from 18 to 22 November, with the trade show opening on 19 November. The CAVU Designwerks team will be on hand to meet with clients and partners and share CAVU’s latest innovations.
Mark Stepanian, president of CAVU Designwerks, will also participate in an education session called Unlocking Inclusive Thrills: Ride Accessibility in Amusement Parks with ASTM F24 Standards, alongside Anthony Rossi, managing director of attraction development and maintenance administration at Hersheypark.
This session, which takes place on Thursday 21 November at 8:30 a.m. in room S330AB, will explore rider accessibility in amusement parks and attractions, guided by the standards set by ASTM F24. Attendees will learn more about the role played by these standards in shaping an inclusive and diverse experience for thrill-seekers of varying abilities. They will discover how to apply fundamental principles of rider accessibility, covering physical, cognitive and sensory aspects, and gain insights into challenges in achieving and maintaining accessibility standards.
