blooloop Limited, the world’s most-read news site for professionals in the visitor attractions business, today proudly celebrates its 20th anniversary.

This significant milestone celebrates two decades of dedicated service to the industry, recognising the collective effort of its talented team in becoming the sector’s most trusted global news source. To mark this occasion and strategically position the company for its next chapter, blooloop is announcing a key executive leadership transition.
Over the past 20 years, blooloop.com has reported on seismic shifts in how people engage with leisure and culture. Covering news, trends, and developments across museums, theme parks, immersive attractions, zoos, aquariums, and other location-based entertainment venues, it has grown to reach hundreds of thousands of visitors a month, with a truly global audience.
“We’ve had a front-row seat to the incredible evolution of the visitor attractions industry, from an increasing focus on the importance of sustainability and cutting-edge technology to the rise of immersive experiences,” said Charles Read, co-founder.
“Our success is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and passion of our entire team. As we celebrate this significant anniversary, we are excited to empower the next generation of blooloop leaders.”
Enhancing senior leadership for future growth

To usher in its third decade, blooloop is delighted to announce three key appointments.
Ella Baskerville, previously business development director, has been appointed managing director. In her new capacity, she will oversee business development, organisational culture, recruitment, and external collaborations.
“Having joined blooloop 10 years ago, it’s an incredible honour and an immensely exciting opportunity to step into the managing director role as we celebrate our 20th anniversary,” said Ella.
Alice Sarsfield-Hall and Ruth Read will also become directors. In addition to working with blooloop’s clients worldwide, Alice leads on events and awards, and Ruth on sustainability.
Reinforcing the commitment to the team that has driven its success, blooloop is also proud that long standing employees now share ownership of the company. This move solidifies blooloop’s unique culture and commitment to its people.
“Charlie started the company from nothing 20 years ago and it has grown to become the most trusted news source and a cornerstone of our industry” said Ella.
“Our founders Charlie and Rachel have created something very special, not just the high-quality content for readers, or our close relationships with our clients, but a work environment in which our team can thrive and grow.
“They are fantastic leaders, mentors, and friends and I hope to continue their example along with fellow directors, Alice and Ruth and lead blooloop in this next chapter”.
Founders shift to strategic roles for future vision

In conjunction with these appointments, blooloop’s co-founders will transition into new strategic roles to focus on the company’s long-term vision.
Charles Read will assume the new title of creative director. He will now focus on steering the development of blooloop’s forthcoming new platform. He will also manage the company’s long-term business and creative strategies, helping to guide its vision for the future.
Co-founder Rachel Read will transition into a new role as strategic director. She will retain finance director responsibilities as well as continuing to work with Ruth on blooloop’s sustainability initiatives.
Leading the way
Charles Read says, “blooloop has achieved sustained growth over the last 20 years. This is because we’ve adapted to a dynamic global market, with a continuous dedication to ‘keeping our finger on the pulse’; delivering the latest industry news and creating the most thoughtful and insightful content.
“We were the first to focus on the importance of sustainability in the attractions sector (with blooloop itself becoming a B-Corp company), leading the way with our annual sustainability conference, greenloop,

“We have also created the hugely popular blooloop 50 Influencer Lists, and the groundbreaking Innovation Awards. The results of both are widely shared by many of the worlds leading media sites.
“We are proud to be viewed as a trusted authority in the attractions sector. Just this last month alone we have featured on LBC and on both the BBC’s flagship Front Row programme and the BBC World Service.”
“As we reflect on our journey, from starting a website from our kitchen table, to being the industry’s most widely read source, we are immensely grateful to our valued clients and all our readers across the world, and to the many great friends we have made along the way.”
blooloop 20th anniversary
“Over the years we have held many events, including live conferences and parties. (Who can forget Sam Bompas blowing the roof up at PwC’s HQ?) We will be resuming our iconic Orlando party this November – watch out for further details!

“There is a strong spirit of collaboration and friendship in the visitor attractions sector. This was especially evident during the pandemic. This sense of community makes it a real joy to work in.
“All of us at blooloop look forward to the challenges of navigating both changing markets and a changing climate. We will keep delivering an unparalleled service for our readers and clients.
“The blooloop 20th anniversary marks a pivotal moment for us. This strategic leadership transition positions the company for continued success and innovation as it helps guide and report on the evolving global visitor attractions industry for decades to come.”
