New hotel is part of Silver Dollar City‘s $500m investment plan

Silver Dollar City, an 1880s theme park in the Ozarks, has announced that building work is progressing on its first hotel, which is due to open in late 2026.

Construction crews are already reaching the third floor of the six-storey property, and have poured more than 3,500 cubic yards of concrete and moved 400,000 cubic yards of earth and rock in the past year, Silver Dollar City said in a press release.

“From sunup to sundown, our teams are building a whole new way for families to stay and play in the Ozarks,” said Brad Thomas, president of Silver Dollar City Parks & Resorts.

“This resort will be as authentic to our heritage as it is forward-looking for future generations.”

Silver Dollar City‘s new hotel will include 262 rooms, as well as indoor and outdoor pools, a full-service restaurant, 17,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and a backyard with fire pits, hidden grottos and meandering trails.

Highlights in the property also include a lobby inspired by the park’s Marvel Cave, a vast window providing views of the Ozark Mountains and Table Rock Lake, and Silver Dollar City’s iconic cinnamon bread will delivered straight to guests’ rooms.

“This resort will be a place where families can truly slow down, connect and create memories – a place with the same spirit of playfulness, discovery, craftsmanship and exploration guests already love about Silver Dollar City,” Thomas added.

The new hotel is part of Silver Dollar City’s $500 million investment plan over the next 10 years, which involves transforming 1,200 acres adjacent to the theme park.

Operated by Herschend, Silver Dollar City features rides and attractions, live entertainment and world-class festivals.

Last year, Silver Dollar City opened Fire in the Hole – the largest indoor family coaster in the Midwest.
