greenloop: Event Network and Indianapolis Zoo explore front line operations sustainability

News

They will explore how to serve up sustainability in front line operations

Andrea Froehle, VP Marketing & Communications, Event Network and Lauren Julian, Director of Guest Services at Indianapolis Zoo will speak at greenloop, taking place online from 19-20th April.

In the week of Earth Day 2022, Blooloop is hosting the greenloop sustainability in visitor attractions conference.

The online event will bring together leading sustainability professionals from the world’s major museums, theme parks, zoos and other visitor attractions. They will share strategy insights and lessons learned to inspire us all to become more sustainable in our businesses and help protect the planet.

Serving Up Sustainability in Front Line Operations

Guests are increasingly choosing venues and attractions that align with their personal sustainability values. It is therefore vital for visitor attractions to incorporate sustainability into all aspects of their business, including the gift shop and food service operations.

Froehle and Julian will explore how this can become a brand builder and revenue driver for organisations. Sustainable Gift Shop and Good service experiences can inspire guests to be responsible stewards of the planet. They can also serve key missions and messages for the organisation – and deepen their role as important revenue streams for the institution.

Julian will share how the Indianapolis Zoo has implemented programs within their earned revenue operations to spread sustainable messaging to their guests. Attendees will be able to learn from her experience as and understand why every visitor attraction should look at their own gift shop and food service programs.
