A virtual reality (VR) theme park featuring 30 VR experiences will open in Dubai in the first half of 2018.
VR Park Dubai is a “first-of-its-kind” attraction, according to its developer Emaar Entertainment, the leisure and entertainment subsidiary of Emaar Properties. Set across two levels in the Dubai Mall, it will include a mix of augmented reality, virtual reality and experiential attractions.
Emaar is working with software developers from around the world to “deliver an unprecedented and awe-inspiring” experience for visitors. It will have immersive rides, including a roller coaster, as well as educational experiences and games.
Many of the attractions will include multiplayer elements, allowing visitors to interact with each other in the virtual worlds.
Emaar has designed VR Park Dubai to offer something for everyone, with attractions that will appeal to hardcore gamers and those with a casual interest in VR. They will also span many genres including adrenaline, horror, leisure and more.
There will also be a café where guests can relax and have a bit to eat. The park is set to open in the coming months, during the first half of 2018.
