The Making of Harry Potter at Warner Bros Studio Tour London is launching a special feature focused on The Goblet of Fire, starting this Easter.
Based on the events that take place in the fourth film in the series, the feature will showcase the behind-the-scenes secrets of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It is part of a range of events planned throughout 2018.
The highlight of The Goblet of Fire feature is a live special effects demonstration showing how the Triwizard Champions’ parchments were expelled from the Goblet.
It will also include props and sets from the film not previously displayed. Visitors will be able to see two different versions of the Goblet of Fire, the Prefects’ Bathroom taps with multicoloured water running from each of the 53 spouts, and the boot Portkey that transported Harry and his friends to the Quidditch World Cup.
The Studio Tour will also add a display dedicated to the development of the costume of Voldermort. In addition, visitors will be able to visit Tom Riddle’s grave where Voldemort was resurrected in the films. The sculpture of the gravestone was created before the details of Voldemort’s lineage were known meaning the dates had to be changed in post-production.
An addition has also been made to the scale model of Hogwarts castle. It now includes a scale version of the Beauxbatons carriage complete with winged horses poised to land on the Hogwarts grounds.
The Making of Harry Potter opened at Warner Bros Studio Tour London in 2012. It offers visitors the chance to get up close to authentic sets, discover the magic behind the special effects and explore the behind-the-scenes secrets of the Harry Potter film series.
Visitors are able to explore the original Great Hall, experience green screen technology flying a broomstick over London, stroll down Diagon Alley and step into the Forbidden Forest.
Running from 30 March until 28 September 2018, the Goblet of Fire feature is included in the cost of a regular ticket.
