Semantic, a company that designs and optimises websites for visitor attractions worldwide, has shared that its LOOP platform is powering a brand-new website for the Haynes Motor Museum in Somerset, UK.
The redesigned site aims to offer a more engaging and user-friendly experience, improving how visitors interact with the museum online.
Since more than 70% of website visitors access it via mobile phones, adopting a responsive, mobile-first strategy was crucial. This approach guarantees a user-friendly and visually appealing experience, emphasising effortless navigation on all devices.
Enhancing the user experience
This new website improves accessibility and reinforces the museum’s dedication to its charitable goals. It serves as a versatile platform that facilitates easier ticket booking. In addition to enhancing day planning, users will gain better access to information regarding venue hire, educational experiences, and ways to learn more about the museum’s historic collection.
Steve Mytton, marketing and communications director at Haynes Motor Museum, says: “This launch marks an exciting step forward. It will enhance the user experience and strengthens the connection between our collection of historic vehicles and our charitable objectives.
“The new site will further strengthen our digital reach acting as a go to resource for visitors and motoring enthusiasts but also provide an improved channel for support with marketing campaign activity. We’re delighted to have a dynamic platform that reflects our ambitions and makes engaging with the museum more accessible than ever.”
The new website also integrates the museum’s trading arms, including Haynes Heritage Engineering, the Conference and Events suite, and the upcoming John Haynes Classic Motor Show.
Upgrade made easy by LOOP
The LOOP platform was created to offer a fast new approach to getting visitor attractions online or improving their existing online performance.
Neil Lewin, owner of Semantic, says: “Haynes Motor Museum needed a high-quality website to reflect its world-class visitor experience and diverse mix of guests. By making use of features and modules designed specifically for museums and heritage attractions, we worked together to bring the motor museum and its sister brands to life online, all in one scalable system.
“As well as a fast, efficient rollout, regular LOOP updates and new features will ensure that their website stays fresh and evolves with their needs, without the cost and hassle of custom development.”
Founded in 1985 by automotive publisher John Haynes OBE, Haynes Motor Museum curates a unique collection of over 300 vehicles and memorabilia across 15 exhibition spaces. From an 1898 motor car to today’s advanced vehicles, the Museum highlights the stories of those who designed, built, and drove them and explores their impact on society.
Last month, Semantic shared some more details about the latest capabilities of its LOOP platform. Recent highlights so far this year include high-impact releases, new client launches, and industry recognition, as LOOP’s innovative attraction website-as-a-service model continues to go from strength to strength.
