LCI Productions is celebrating a host of successful projects this summer, with new ‘wow’ experiences in the pipeline for Christmas and beyond.

Highlights for 2018 include the Cardiff Bay Water Show, the annual Latitude festival and a 5G musical event connecting the Roman amphitheatre at the London’s Guildhall complex with Germany’s Brandenburg Gate Museum.

LCI provided a three-water-screen projection show for the National Eisteddfod in Cardiff, part of the Year of the Sea (Carnifal y Môr) celebrations. The project combined music with multiple visual arts elements and a carnival procession through Cardiff Bay.

Working with Butetown Carnival, artist Megan Broadmeadow created a film which was projected on the three water screens. Music was provided by Gruff Rhys of Welsh psychedelic rock band, Super Furry Animals.

Elsewhere, LCI worked with artist, Ali Hossaini, to provide large format projection displays and surround audio for a musical event (above) connecting London’s Guildhall with the historic Brandenburg Gate Museum in Berlin. Harnessing the power of 5G, two concerts were performed simultaneously at both venues. According to LCI, some of the projectors and screens have been left in situ to provide a legacy benefit from the project.

In July, the company returned to the Latitude Festival once again, providing its trademark Water Screen Projection which has become a highlight for festival goers. The event at Henham Park in Suffolk has just been nominated for Best Festival / Event in the Q Magazine Awards.

New developments at LCI include Ambient AV features to enhance relaxing spaces for attractions, spas, and the automobile and airline industry. A recent installation at a Center Parcs Spa features a virtual window with a view to a forest canopy. The projected sequence shows the light filtering through the leaves as it gradually changes from day to night.

Looking ahead, the company is now preparing for a raft of Christmas events in London, as well as a new seasonal show for Longleat.

Meet the team from LCI Productions at the Euro Attractions Show (EAS), RAI Amsterdam, 25-27 September, 2018. Make an appointment, here.
