Europa-Park has announced that it will reopen on May 29. The theme park in Germany will welcome visitors with new safety measures in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
According to a statement, Europa-Park welcomes the nationwide easing of the coronavirus-related restrictions and measures announced by the Baden-Württemberg government on May 6.
Europa-Park has prepared intensively for the reopening of its theme park, accommodation and catering in close consultation with the authorities.
“Health and safety of our guests and employees have always been our highest priority,” the statement reads. “It is our goal that you continue to feel safe and comfortable when visiting us.”

Europa-Park and its six themed hotels, as well as the Camp Resort and Europa-Park Camping, will welcome guests from May 29.
Hotel restaurants will gradually reopen from May 18, beginning with outside areas. Rulantica water park will remain closed until further notice.
The theme park will reopen with new measures in order to minimise the risk of infection, including limiting the number of visitors with day-based online ticketing.
Europa-Park will be offering day-based tickets for the 2020 summer season from May 13 via the online ticket shop.

Europa-Park will also comply with safety distances, using distance markings in waiting areas and restaurants.
In addition, it will implement extended hygiene standards and processes, with more disinfection stations, and regular cleaning and disinfecting.
“We kindly ask you, dear guests, to observe the mandatory minimum distance as well as the additional hygiene requirements which apply until further notice at Europa-Park.”
New digital technologies will be used for queue management and social distancing, while Europa-Park will use contactless payment.
Europa-Park is looking forward to welcoming international guests when cross-border traffic is possible again, and is optimistic about the opening of Rulantica.
