CONDUCTR recognised as one of the UK’s Best Places to Work

News
CONDUCTR Great Place to Work

CONDUCTR, the UK-based innovation studio, has been formally acknowledged as one of the UK’s Best Places to Work.

The studio scored 98% in the Great Place to Work accreditation, in contrast to the UK-based company average of 54%.

People-led culture

In only three years, CONDUCTR has established a reputation for crafting large-scale immersive experiences for well-known entertainment, attractions, and cruise brands. Now, with 78 team members, the studio is being honoured for its culture rooted in trust, creativity, and partnership.

The Great Place to Work results illustrate a truly people-led culture.

  • 98% say CONDUCTR is a great place to work (compared to a UK average of 54%)
  • 100% say they’re treated fairly
  • 100% say they care about each other

Jos van der Steen, COO and co-founder at CONDUCTR, says: “We’re scaling fast, but we’ve been intentional about how we do it. You can’t build complex, cutting-edge experiences without trust, clarity, and a team that genuinely wants to be here. Culture isn’t a nice-to-have – it’s a foundation we’re always building on.”

Embedded values

Katie Best, head of people, has been pivotal in defining how development works at CONDUCTR. Instead of using a traditional approach to performance reviews, Best has created CDTR+, a custom framework designed to integrate growth, motivation, and conversation into everyday activities.

This framework includes bespoke development cards which have been made to reflect the studio’s founding values: going above and beyond, working as a team, being creative, delivering efficiently, and making work to be proud of. The cards are used in team meetings and one-on-ones, and promote real conversations on motivation, working style, and satisfaction.

“We didn’t want culture to be a poster on the wall – we wanted it to be something people feel in the day-to-day,” says Best. “These small moments of care and curiosity are what create a space where people can do their best work.”

Peter Cliff, CEO and co-founder at CONDUCTR, says: “We build experiences that push boundaries – and that only works because our people feel confident enough to push theirs.”

The accreditation comes amid rapid expansion at CONDUCTR, and demonstrates how scaling at speed does not need to sacrifice culture.

Earlier this year, CONDUCTR announced the appointment of Adrian Jones as managing director of US operations. Based in Orlando, Jones leads the company’s strategic expansion, collaborations, and technological innovation in North America.
