A $20m expansion project at the Northern Quest Resort & Casino, Spokane County, WA, is reportedly on the verge of breaking ground.
The development is owned by The Kalispel Tribal Economic Authority, an entity of the Kalispel Tribe of Indians.
According to a Journal of Business report, the intention is to attract ‘outside dollars’ into the community.
The expansion will house entertainment attractions aimed at children. Plans also include a new retail store and a ‘high-end, 17-acre RV resort’.
The Cyber Quest attraction will be an adult-supervised arcade. It will offer a range of non-violent video games and attractions for kids.
Younger children will be catered for at Kids Quest. Amusements on offer will include an indoor gym, space for arts and crafts, a karaoke stage, and quiet places for reading or tablet use.
Visitors will be able to buy outdoor items, home goods, and jewellery at the new Windfall retail store.
The Kalispel Tribe is partnering RV resort developer, Bud Surles, to design and manage the park. It will include seven luxury sites, 36 over-sized standard sites, and 29 pull-through spaces with full hookups.
The park is estimated to attract 50,000 visitors annually.
