Innovative Leisure, a leading supplier of climbing wall attractions, has provided two new walls to Park Holidays UK, the largest park operator in the south of England.
Park Holidays UK has installed a 7.3m stationary wall and a 7.3m mobile wall at two of its 29 parks: Seawick, Clacton-on-Sea and New Beach, Dymchurch.
The company added the adventure attractions to enhance its offer and give guests a new and exciting challenge.
Park Holidays UK’s decision reflects the sector’s growing interest in adding attractions that differ from the usual mix. According to Innovative Leisure, resorts are increasingly investing in adventure attractions in response to visitor demand and the drive to differentiate in an increasingly competitive market.
Climbing walls bring ‘new energy and excitement’
“The value the walls have brought to our entertainment programme has been immense,” confirms John Flack, Head of Entertainment at Park Holidays UK. “Bringing climbing walls to our holiday parks has brought new energy and excitement to our offer. Three generations of families are now enjoying the new climbing walls. Innovative Leisure made the process so simple and helped us at each step of the way”.

Elsewhere, Richardson’s Hemsby Beach, Norfolk, has also invested in several attractions for its park, including a Sky Tykes junior low ropes course. Sky Tykes is aimed at younger visitors and offers plenty of challenges and excitement at a child-friendly level. This particular Sky Tykes installation is complemented by the addition of an indoor traversing wall and outdoor 7.3m stationary climbing wall, creating a diverse choice of adventure attractions for the destination’s customers to enjoy, whatever the weather.
Innovative Leisure has many years’ experience supplying a range of adventure attraction products to a wide variety of venues and operators. These include climbing walls, the latest Sky Trail high ropes courses, thrilling zip lines and other family attractions.
