Leading creative design and build company Paragon Creative has been appointed to develop the new Space Exploration Gallery at the Life Science Centre in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.
The exhibition is a collaboration with KCA London, specialist consultants in design, learning and operations for museums and attractions.
The new Space Exploration Gallery will occupy 550sqm and will have approximately 30-40 exhibits using a mix of interactive elements and Life’s state-of-the art digital planetarium. The gallery will focus on the Solar System and beyond, how society benefits from space technology in everyday life and human space exploration.
Paragon Creative and KCA London have a strong track record of delivering major design and build projects together to UK science centres. In 2016, the two companies delivered the Brain Zone also at Life Science Centre. They are currently working on another UK science centre due to open early 2019.
Life recently received a £2.6 million funding boost from the Inspiring Science Fund. The new exhibition aims to deliver STEM learning that is accessible for all and will be displayed in the science centre as well as at community venues across North East England.
The Space Exploration Gallery will launch May 2019.
