Merlin and Hasbro have officially opened the world’s first Peppa Pig Theme Park in Florida, welcoming visitors to the attraction’s interactive rides, themed play areas and ‘muddy puddles’.
“We’ve crafted the park with preschoolers in mind,” Rex Jackson, the Peppa Pig Theme Park’s president and managing director, told Blooloop. “It is a complete park experience, which includes rides, a signature show, and various attractions.”
The Peppa Pig Theme Park, located adjacent to Legoland Florida, has opened as a Certified Autism Center (CAC). It also features accessible ride vehicles and attractions.
Rides include a family-friendly coaster experience for children called Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster, as well as Peppa Pig’s Balloon Ride, Grandad Dog’s Pirate Boat Ride, and Grampy Rabbit’s Dinosaur Adventure.
The ride vehicles for Peppa Pig’s Balloon Ride were designed to allow children who use wheelchairs to seamlessly access the ride without getting out of their wheelchairs.
New park designed for preschoolers

“This is huge for us,” Kelly Hornick, head of marketing and communications for the Peppa Pig Theme Park, told Blooloop. “To be able to fit that child within a wheelchair on the ride and still have enough room for an adult companion or parent to ride alongside.”
Additional rides and attractions at the park include Mr Bull’s High Striker, Muddy Puddles Splash Pad, Grandpa Pig’s Greenhouse, Peppa Pig’s Treehouse, Rebecca Rabbit’s Playground, and Madame Gazelle’s Nature Trail.
“We know that Peppa is extremely popular,” Jackson said.
“When we have made announcements for the theme park, the response from families with preschool kids has been overwhelmingly positive.”
“She’s a very popular character and has a vast following here in the United States, as well as globally,” he added.
Merlin and Hasbro are also creating the world’s first standalone Peppa Pig Resort in China, which is scheduled to open in 2024. Mark Fisher, chief development officer at Merlin, said Peppa Pig is a “global star among preschoolers”.
