Tourist Development and Attraction Consultants (TDAC), a European consultancy firm founded by former Efteling COO Coen Bertens (left), and former BRC Imagination Arts executive, Bart Dohmen, has announced the launch of a new website as it embarks on an exciting new chapter.
With their 25 years of experience in the themed entertainment industry, Dohmen and Bertens know that the visitor experience is key. After finishing their long term executive positions, both were approached by many developers, investors, operators and governments to assist them as consultants.
As Dohmen’s experience is more in greenfield development and Coen’s experience more concentrated in the area of general management & operations, their skills and knowledge are mainly complementary, which formed a good basis to work together on various projects. This cooperation worked out so well that they decided to bundle their leisure activities in TDAC.
A new type of consultancy
TDAC wants to become the European consultancy firm consisting of senior consultants with various executive backgrounds, which operators, investors and governments can turn to for independent, experienced advice in leisure development and exploitation. The service is focused on finding the balance between investment, hospitality and Return On Investment by keeping the guest central.
The firm only works with advisors who have held long management positions within the
leisure industry, with a variety of backgrounds. To increase the variety, TDAC immediately began approaching other executives willing to share their expertise and is honoured to announce Peter van Wijk (top, right), CEO of 24indoor, as its newest team member.
Peter has built a chain of over 60 indoor FECs across Europe and brings a vast knowledge of FECs and playgrounds to the team.
New senior consultants will be announced in the coming months. With this new set-up, TDAC is positioning itself as a unique European consultancy service providing independent knowledge and advice in the Local Based Leisure market. TDAC is already working on several projects in Europe, including countries such as Luxembourg, Poland, Croatia and the Netherlands.
