Death Eaters, Dementors and Mountain Trolls are returning to Universal Orlando Resort‘s Wizarding World of Harry Potter for the spooky season.
From 16 September through 31 October, guests will encounter Death Eaters in the streets of Hogsmeade at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
“As darkness falls, an ominous presence will fill the land as the Dark Arts begin to take over the streets of Hogsmeade and cloak the stone walls of Hogwarts castle,” said Universal Orlando.
“Guests will come face-to-face with Death Eaters – devoted followers of Lord Voldemort known for their allegiance and practice of the Dark Arts – as they appear and eerily roam and lurk throughout Hogsmeade.”
Visitors will also experience ‘Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle’, a sinister spectacle with state-of-the-art projection mapping, special effects and lighting that brings to life creepy creatures from the Harry Potter franchise.

Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle will unleash “the unspeakable creatures and sinister villains of the Wizarding World”, said Universal Orlando. These include Dementors, Mountain Trolls and a visage of Lord Voldemort.
In addition, guests can purchase new Dark Arts-themed merchandise, including mugs, hats, lanyards, clothing and a Death Eater mask.
The Wizarding World recently unveiled an array of new location-based entertainment (LBE) experiences as part of its ‘Back to Hogwarts’ celebrations.
These include new venues for Harry Potter: The Exhibition, new locations for Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience, and a rendering of Harry Potter: Magic at Play’s Quidditch skills training games space.
