TYG Tickets celebrates growth despite challenges of COVID-19

News
TYG Tickets

Firm has continued to expand in the wake of the pandemic

TYG Tickets, a dynamic, cloud-based ticketing solution for attractions, was established in 2009 by founding directors, Margaret Burns, Iona-Frost Pennington and Peter-Frost Pennington to meet the need for online ticket sales at Muncaster Castle.

Since satisfying that initial client in 2009 and then signing on another nine clients in 2010, TYG has grown exponentially. It now has more than 100 core clients across the leisure and attractions industries, from historical destinations and museums to sporting venues and music festivals. It can cater to individual small businesses and multimillion-pound conglomerates, offering individually tailored services to meet each client’s needs.

In spite of the global pandemic, TYG has continued to expand and increase turnover year after year. It expects an annual turnover this year of around £14 million.

A dedicated team

Over the past 13 years, the company has built a strong team of experts, including a dedicated team of customer support staff.

Maureen, TYG operations manager, has been with the firm since the beginning. With a background in banking and financial services, she is the powerhouse behind the day-to-day running of the TYG platform. Her in-depth knowledge of the capabilities and functionality of TYG is an invaluable resource to any company looking to streamline and improve the efficiency of its online sales.

Natalie, accounts manager, has been with TYG since 2014 having transferred from the accounts department of Muncaster & The Pennington Estate to meet the needs of a rapidly expanding TYG customer base. She is skilled in customer service interaction and financial reporting and can effortlessly and knowledgeably guide clients to achieve a multi-layered analysis of their customer sales history.

Mila joined TYG in May 2022 after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Originally from Bucha, close to Kyiv, Mila has a Master’s Degree in English & German Language Studies and a background in international online and APP customer support. She was initially employed as a customer telephone support technician and has quickly embraced the functionality of the TYG system, becoming fluent in operational and technical issues.

The TYG Tickets e-ticketing software system allows operators to take control of their online ticket sales. Attractions can sell tickets online with the company’s easy-to-install cloud-based software, safe payment gateway and secure checkout pages.
