The Touring Exhibitions Organisation (Teo), a one-stop resource platform for the international touring exhibitions community, has announced the launch of “The Future of Touring Exhibitions – Cultural Dialogue Survey 2023″, in collaboration with Culture Connect.

The survey is open to all professionals who are involved in the hosting, touring, production and promotion of cultural exhibitions around the world, including shows at museums, galleries, science centres, exhibition venues, libraries, archives, and gardens.

As the company’s previous survey indicated would be the case, touring exhibitions have continued in the face of challenges like travel bans, lockdowns and environmental concerns. Now, Teo’s latest survey will explore how much the pandemic and other current crises have impacted the sector. It will also identify new practices and trends.

Survey results to be revealed at Teo Live 2023

Teo’s survey series sets out to map the appetite for cultural dialogue through touring exhibitions, to collectively build an understanding of important future trends, and to start a conversation around planning for the future of touring exhibitions.

The survey is open till 10 March 2023 and, following this, the results will be presented by Culture Connect in a report. This report will be revealed at Teo Live, which will be hosted by Teo on 11 May 2023.

Teo Live is Teo’s online touring exhibitions event, supporting the international touring exhibitions community. Professionals involved in the hosting and touring of cultural exhibitions, can discover exhibition innovations, learn about trends and meet with fellow community members. It is open to professionals from across the sector, working in venues such as museums, galleries and science centres, libraries and archives, gardens and zoos, exhibition venues and event organisations.

Last year’s Teo Live featured keynote addresses by Loïc Fel, co-founder of the Coalition for Art and Sustainable Development (COAL), and Fabienne Voisin, who has dedicated her career to supporting the creation and promotion of music to large audiences.
