ROLLER, the ticketing, CRM and POS specialist, showcased the newest features and additions to its platform during the recent March Product Spotlight. Attendees learned about progressive checkout enhancements and guest experience features such as industry benchmarks, party products, wristband management, and more.
The team also demonstrated new functionality and gave participants a look at what’s new on the product roadmap, before conducting a live Q&A with product experts.
Progressive Checkout enhancements
ROLLER’s Progressive Checkout, which was introduced in 2022, has proved popular with customers. Some have even claimed to have noticed increases in conversion rates of approximately 10%! The Progressive Checkout was created primarily to lower cart abandonment and boost conversion rates. It is intended to be an engaging, immersive, and rich online experience that encourages visitors to stay on the page longer and make more purchases.
To further reduce friction in the payment process, ROLLER integrated the strength of ROLLER Payments into the checkout. As a result, Progressive Checkouts supports a wide range of payment options, including mobile wallets, Buy Now Pay Later, and browser-stored cards.
Now, ROLLER has included improvements to help raise average transaction values, such as charging upfront for required fees or extras and enabling consumers to buy gift cards and wallets with bespoke values, in order to make the checkout process even more efficient for their customers.
Party packages and wristband management
Party reservations can be a huge source of stress for the majority of attraction venue proprietors. But because party reservations frequently account for over 20% of total income, it’s crucial to make selling and maintaining them as simple for staff as it is for customers. The most recent party package updates made by ROLLER contribute to this.
The updated party package features will cut down on checkout time by 30% on average. It automatically calculates party inclusions like food and drink based on party size, so there are no forms for guests to fill out.
When it comes to wristbands, ROLLER customers will soon have the opportunity to set their venue’s wristband options to automatically determine which colour wristbands need to be distributed to visitors when they arrive. This feature will allow operators to speed up queues and manage visitor flows better.
ROLLER & Mailchimp integration
Due to ROLLER’s most recent integration with Mailchimp, customers can now simply design customised marketing campaigns, such as ones that provide birthday discounts and increase brand recognition, guest spending, and engagement.
Clients can now customise the domain for emails sent by ROLLER. Operators will benefit from this option by being able to send emails that stand out and enhance brand recognition.
Online accounts and guest experience benchmarks
ROLLER is introducing online accounts to ease the workload on staff and provide customers with more convenience and control over their bookings. Visitors may cancel memberships, view transactions, and even add payment methods using this account.
The Guest Experience Score industry benchmarking function is another new addition to the ROLLER platform. Clients will be able to contrast the Guest Experience Score of their locations with those of other locations in the same sector. Being able to do this is incredibly insightful since it will allow ROLLER customers to compare their performance to other venues of a similar type. Operators will be able to highlight their venue’s strong points and pinpoint areas for business improvement.
The Australian Sports Museum has already started using this feature. It reports that this gives it a good snapshot of how it is performing in the industry. The museum also says that it is beneficial to be able to “quantifiably show” new staff and other interested parties how well it is performing.
The Product Spotlight is available to watch on-demand here.
Earlier this year, ROLLER celebrated 100 episodes of its popular podcast series, the Guest Experience Show, which serves as a space for industry leaders to share insights into how they deliver memorable guest experiences in their venues. Last summer, the firm celebrated ten years in the leisure business.
