Zamperla, a leading ride manufacturer, has announced the opening of two new attractions within the Speed Zone OFF ROAD themed land at Walibi Holland – a Junior Coaster 200 called Eat My Dust, and a Magic Bikes 6 named Wind Seekers.
The new Eat My Dust coaster features vehicles that are themed to resemble dune buggies, with detailed painting and fibreglass work. Meanwhile, the Magic Bikes ride is designed to look like an ultralight aircraft, adding a new theme to one of the firm’s most popular attractions.
“This project was a success in a short timeline because of the partnership,” says Charles De Bruyne, sales manager for the EU. “The Leisure Expert Group team came up with a fantastic thematic concept, the park made the project happen in a year, and Zamperla’s team of artists made Walibi Holland’s vision come to life. From the roll bars to the fake mud, these ride vehicles are exciting to see on a coaster of this scale.”
An Integrated Ride package
Zamperla delivered another of its Integrated Ride packages for this project, as the Magic Bikes attraction is set into the first drop of Eat My Dust. The Italian firm offers the industry’s most diverse portfolio of attractions, and this installation shows how parks can pair the rides together in order to boost guest spending and satisfaction.

“Integrated Rides answers the demands of today’s park-goers,” says Adam Sandy, Zamperla’s roller coaster sales & marketing director. “We see a larger age gap between children in families, a need for more immersive theming and a desire for interactivity. The Integrated Rides package at Walibi Holland answers the call of today’s family market and offers an hourly capacity of 900 people.”
Eat My Dust reaches a height of 9.2 metres (30 feet) and has a track length of 200 metres (656 feet). It has a top speed of 40 kilometres per hour (25 miles per hour) and features a twisting drop, an s-curve, a helix and a kick turn. It has one train which seats 14 guests. Wind Seekers has an instant capacity of 12.
Walibi Holland is now open for the 2023 season.
Zamperla recently attended the 6th annual Leisure, Entertainment and Attractions Conference by MENALAC (the Middle East & North Africa Leisure and Attraction Council) and the annual MENALAC Awards Gala Dinner in Dubai, where the firm’s past president, Alberto Zamperla, was inducted into the MENALAC Hall of Fame.
