IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, has opened the 2023 IAAPA Expo Asia, which is taking place until 16 June at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Singapore.
The event was launched by senior leadership from IAAPA in an opening ceremony on 14 June. The ceremony included an executive panel discussion, impressive entertainment, and a countdown. The trade show floor was then opened to delegates.
IAAPA Expo Asia 2023 is the first conference that the association has held in the Asia Pacific region since 2019. The eagerly awaited event reflects the resilience and determination of the worldwide attractions community following the challenging global crisis. It celebrates the sector’s continued commitment to providing exceptional visitor experiences.
The spirit of progress
Singapore, which is renowned for its infrastructure, creativity, and unmatched hospitality, is an apt location for IAAPA Expo Asia. With its outstanding attractions, advanced technologies, and diverse cultural experiences, Singapore has long been regarded as a global hub for business and tourism. Combining education and exhibitors
IAAPA Expo Asia 2023 covers an expansive exhibition space measuring more than 7,000 square net metres, with 287 exhibitors presenting cutting-edge products and services. Delegates will get the chance to learn about new technologies, investigate emerging trends, and develop collaborations that will grow their companies. The conference also features a wide selection of educational seminars covering subjects such as sector trends, visitor experiences, operations, and sustainability.

Best exhibits announced
On the second day of the trade show, the winners of the 2023 IAAPA Brass Ring Awards for Best Exhibit were announced. Applicants were judged on their booth design, branding, staffing, product in the booth, and overall appeal.

IAAPA recently endorsed new ride safety legislation in Alabama, US, and aligns all amusement rides and attractions in the state with the stringent safety standards established by ASTM International.
