Moongate Design Studio, an international concept designer and development firm, is celebrating its expansion into South Korea with a new creative design studio based in Yongin alongside a city office in Seoul. This move will reinforce the company’s global reach and open up new opportunities for collaboration and growth while underlining its commitment to innovation and creativity.
The firm’s USA headquarters will remain in Honolulu, Hawaii, while the new strategic location will support Moongate’s projects in Korea, a globally important centre of media, music and art, as well as in other emerging markets in the region. With this continued expansion, its international, multilingual team is uniquely placed to support the Asian market.
Supporting the firm’s client base in Asia as growth continues
“Our expansion in Korea and the chosen office location offer our creative team the ideal inspiration,” says Sol Song, Moongate co-founder. “Creativity flourishes with time, nature, and space.”
Alex Chao, co-founder, adds: “Since our inception just last year, we envisioned a significant client base in Asia. However, the pace at which this reality unfolded has been nothing short of remarkable. We hope this is just the start.”
Recently, Moongate Design Studio also announced a new strategic partnership with Zipline Korea, in a move that underscores the firm’s forward-thinking approach and furthers its ambitions in Asia. The company’s storytelling and theming experience is an ideal fit for Zipline Korea’s thrilling adventure facilities, which are home to rope courses, roller coasters, ziplines, and climbing walls. The firms signed a formal MOU (memorandum of understanding) on 7 June 2023.
In 2022, as Moongate began its quest to rethink art and promote ground-breaking new projects within the artainment and immersive exhibition sector, Song and his other Moongate co-founder, managing director David Newman, spoke to blooloop about what makes their new enterprise unique.
