ART Engineering Wild Swing

The ride at Karls Erlebnis-Dorf in Elstal opens, 11 months after the prototype was launched

ART Engineering, an amusement ride manufacturer that develops roller coasters, dark rides, carousels, water rides and more, is celebrating the launch of its third Wild Swing.

The new ride has opened at Karls Erlebnis-Dorf (Karls Adventure Village) in Elstal, near Berlin. It is located in the Wetterwelt (Weather World) themed area of the park and is named Wetter-Umschwung (Weather Change). The Wild Swing can be creatively themed,

This opening comes a mere 11 months since the prototype Wild Swing first opened at Fantasiana in Austria.

Sarah Grabler, CEO at Fantasiana, says: “In 2021, we opened the first prototype with the Family Launch Coaster together with ART Engineering. We found the cooperation with ART Engineering very pleasant and are still so satisfied with the quality of the coaster that we built the next prototype together with ART Engineering just one year later.

“The Wild Swing also exceeded our expectations again. We can highly recommend both ART Engineering as a manufacturer and the Wild Swing as an attraction.”

The second Wild Swing is at Potts Park, Germany.

Family-friendly gondola ride

The swing offers a compact footprint at 6 x 11 metres and is driven by electrical motors. It can serve 500 riders per hour (depending on the selected programme). The 12-metre ride height is combined with a gondola which can move dynamically in two directions.

As the ride does not include any inversions, it is suitable for all the family and can accommodate passengers from 90cm / 32in. As with ART Engineering Family Coasters, the Wild Swing features an innovative seat bar unit which is comfortable for older children and riders of all builds.

ART Engineering will be at booth number #1026 at IAAPA Expo Europe, which is taking place 25 – 28 September in Vienna.

ART Engineering recently announced the launch of a second family launch coaster at Canada’s Wonderland in Ontario. The new ride, Snoopy’s Racing Railway, has a 245-metre-long track and reaches speeds of 50 kilometres per hour.
