Seven’s new attraction will offer immersive experiences and family entertainment

Saudi Entertainment Ventures (Seven) has started constructing its SAR 1.3 billion ($347 million) entertainment destination in Almadinah.

Located next to King Fahad Central Park, Seven’s 4,000-square-metre attraction will house immersive experiences, world-class rides and family entertainment.

Highlights include the Discovery Adventures edutainment attraction, an e-karting track spanning two levels, and a Play-Doh entertainment centre.

Also on offer will be a state-of-the-art cinema with IMAX, a futuristic bowling alley, a wellness centre, and retail and F&B outlets.

Construction is underway with BUJV, a joint venture by Albawani Holding and UrbaCon Trading & Contracting.

“Our entertainment destination in Almadinah will transform the entertainment landscape of the region and bring new, unique, and exciting experiences to the people of Almadinah supporting Seven’s aims to enrich the quality of life for millions of Saudis,” said Abdullah Al-Dawood, chairman of Seven, a wholly owned subsidiary of Saudi’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).

Fakher Al-Shawaf, group CEO of Albawani Holding, added: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to collaborate once again with Seven on this groundbreaking project, which aims to establish an exceptional entertainment destination in the holy city of Almadinah.”

The venue in Almadinah is one of 21 entertainment destinations planned by Seven for the kingdom, in 14 cities including Riyadh, Kharj, Makkah, Jeddah, Taif, Dammam and Tabuk. The company is spending SAR 50 billion ($13 billion) on these developments.

“We believe that the entertainment sector in Saudi Arabia is full of opportunities and plays an important role in the growth of the local economy,” said Al-Dawood.

“It also forms a strong basis for creating jobs and is a strong driver for a large number of other economic sectors including the local tourism sector.”

Through the PIF’s Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia is creating a collection of new attractions and entertainment experiences to stimulate the economy and reduce the kingdom’s reliance on oil.
