The Tabuk location is one of 21 entertainment destinations to rise across Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN) has started building its new SAR 1 billion ($266m) entertainment destination in Tabuk.

Designed by Gensler, the attraction will offer new and innovative experiences. It is planned as a village nestled between gardens and recreational spaces, and features a hydroponic tower.

Highlights include a 4,000-square-metre family entertainment centre (FEC), another FEC for younger visitors, and the Discovery Adventures edutainment attraction.

There will also be an e-karting experience under Mattel‘s Hot Wheels brand, an indoor adventure golf course, a futuristic bowling experience, a cinema, and F&B outlets.

The new entertainment destination is set on more than 72,500 square metres of built-up area and on a land area of 40,000 square metres.

Abdullah Al-Dawood, chairman of SEVEN, said the company is “excited to be bringing our exciting new entertainment experiences to the people of Tabuk”.

“We have appreciated the city’s rich culture and heritage in the development of our entertainment destination, infusing it with Tabuk’s unique features and ensuring that our destination will cater to the needs of all in Tabuk,” he added.

“Our entertainment destination gates will support the local economy, create job opportunities for the city’s people, and enrich the lives of those living in and visiting Tabuk.”

SEVEN opening 21 attractions in the kingdom

The Tabuk venue is one of SEVEN’s 21 entertainment destinations in development across Saudi Arabia. These are rising in locations such as Riyadh, Kharj, Makkah, Jeddah, Taif, Dammam, Khobar, Al Ahsa, and Madinah.

Albawani Holding has been awarded the contract to build the attraction. The company’s group CEO, Fakher AlShawaf, said: “The entertainment sector is growing rapidly in the kingdom, and we aspire to support it to become a social and economic catalyst.”

SEVEN is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF). Saudi Arabia’s entertainment and attractions sector is rapidly growing as part of the PIF’s Vision 2030.
