Clip n Climp sign agreement with SEVEN in Saudi

Clip ‘n Climb, an international leader in the fun climbing market, has signed a license agreement with Saudi Entertainment Ventures Company (SEVEN), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF). As a result, the company will build and operate attractions across several upcoming entertainment destinations by SEVEN in Saudi Arabia.

Suitable for visitors aged four and upwards, Clip ‘n Climb centres offer over 50 unique climbing challenges, designed to stimulate a number of different senses.

Construction has already begun on the first of these new Clip ‘n Climb branded, stand-alone venues in the Kingdom. This will be at a SEVEN entertainment destination in Al Hamra in Riyadh, catering to the densely populated neighbourhoods in the northeast of the city.

In total, SEVEN will be bringing 21 of these new destinations to Saudi Arabia as it works to strengthen the Kingdom’s entertainment infrastructure. These will be home to state-of-the-art Clip ‘n Climb challenges.

“A perfect fit”

Abdullah Al Dawood, chairman of SEVEN, says: “Through our entertainment destinations, we are driving forward PIF’s aims to enhance the quality of life for the people of Saudi Arabia as well as strengthening the entertainment ecosystem.

“As the global pioneers of fun climbing, Clip ‘n Climb serves as a perfect fit for our facilities as the concept is innovative, appeals to all ages and backgrounds, and provides a safe environment that promotes a form of healthy, active and playful entertainment. We will continue to build such exclusive partnerships that will transform the Kingdom’s entertainment landscape.”

As the innovators of fun climbing, we are committed to bringing and delivering the highest standards of safety to all visitors in addition to creating innovative climbing experiences that will delight everyone.

“With our new partnership with SEVEN, Saudi Arabia will become a flagship country for Clip ‘n Climb across the Middle East.”

Fun challenges with Clip ‘n Climb

Clip ‘n Climb delivers unique experiences, all featuring different shapes, colours and textures that make them appealing to a wide age range. For example, one popular challenge is Amazing, which is ideal for first-time visitors and children. This includes handholds and footholds that can be gripped in a variety of ways. There is also Ascendor, a dual challenge with two difficulty levels, and Astroball, a challenge designed for three climbers.

Other activities include the Champions series, designed to recreate the atmosphere of an elite competition; Caving Ladder, with its steep vertical cave section and Cloud 9, a whimsical interpretation of a scattering of clouds.

The Clip n Climb concept

SEVEN Al Hamra will cover more than 167,000 square metres. As well as the offering from Clip ‘n Climb, it will also include the Kingdom’s first Transformers-themed ride-based attraction and the first indoor Ferris wheel, as well as Wave House – an indoor surfing facility, and cinemas, bowling, e-karting, retail, and casual and fine dining outlets. Five entertainment districts will surround large indoor atriums, providing access to outdoor public spaces with gardens and walkways where visitors can relax.

The other upcoming projects will be located in 14 cities across the Kingdom: Riyadh, Kharj, Makkah, Jeddah, Taif, Dammam, Khobar, Al Ahsa, Madinah, Yanbu, Abha, Jazan, Buraidah, and Tabuk.
